How we work
Save the Children Sweden is a non-governmental organization, which fights for children's rights by gathering and disseminating knowledge. With knowledge as a base, we try to influence the people around children - from the family in the local community to decision-makers at the global level - so that a mass movement for children's rights is created.
Our work in Sweden
In Sweden we work together with the members in our local branches to advocate for children’s rights. The 249 local branches are supported by our eleven regional offices around Sweden.
Working with partners around the world
In our work outside Sweden we usually work with local and national organizations to achieve the best results. They are the experts on children’s situation in their own society. We work with capacity building to strengthen our partners to advocate towards governments and policy-makers. We also support networks of child rights organizations at national, regional and global level. And together with the other members of the International Save the Children Alliance we advocate for children’s rights in all our work, both in emergency response and in more long-term projects.
